This bill clarifies the fiduciary role of local government investment agents given in the 2016 Legislative Session.  It reiterates they are subject to the Wyoming Uniform Prudent Investor Act and are subject to the state's jurisdiction. This stresses adequate due diligence when investing public funds - including local governments.

This bill increases the tax per cigarettes from $.006 to $.009 with the increase of distribution to municipalities from 33 1/3% to 74 1/2%.

WAM Action Taken: 1/25/17 Laurie Heath testified in support stressing although this is small revenue, WAM should support any revenue change.
